PURPOSE:To increase the reduction combustion time and to improve the property of mixing with a combustion gas from a main burner by disposing a secondary fuel nozzle in opposition to the main burner and providing first and second overfire air nozzles on the rear steam. CONSTITUTION:A lower stage main burner 3 is disposed in facing with an opposite face 1b on a face 1a, and a similar upper stage main burner 4 is disposed at the upper part of the rear stream with a step H1 formed thereon. In opposition to the upper stage main burner 4, a secondary combustion nozzle 5 is disposed on the side of the opposite face 1b and further at the upper part of the secondary fuel nozzle 5 is provided a first overfire air nozzle 6 facing the face 1a with a step H2 formed thereon. At the upper part of the first overfire air nozzle 6 is provided a second overfire air nozzle 7 facing the opposite face 1b with a step H3 on the side of the face 1a. Since the secondary fuel nozzle is in a position which is lower than the conventional position, the reduction combustion time can be increased by a distance lowered, and further the property of mixing with the combustion gas from the main burner can be improved and the reduction combustion can be smoothly carried out.
