PURPOSE:To grind any desired part of the periphery of a work without rotating it by inserting the work in a ring-shaped grinding wheel, whose bore works as the grinding surface, and by performing the grinding with the rotational axis of the grinding wheel displaced. CONSTITUTION:A square-shaped main frame 10 of required dimensions is installed upright on a base plate 1, and a movable frame 15, slidable transversely, is furnished at the inside of the former named frame 10. A vertically movable support 20 is installed at the inside of this movable frame 15, which is operated by a linear working machine 19 mounted at the outside of said main frame 10, while the support 20 is operated by another linear working machine 18 mounted in the upper part of the movable frame 15. A cylindrically formed grinding wheel holder 30, on which a ring-shaped grinding wheel 40 is mounted separatably, is supported rotatably in the center of said support. A rod H as work to be processed is inserted in the bore of this grinding wheel, and moved at an appropriate speed. |
