PURPOSE:To obtain a pulverous powder separator which separates pulverous paramagnetic material powder such as environmental pollutant or the like in the stage of the pulverous powder before combustion by combination use of electromagnetism and magnetism and is clean and inexpensive. CONSTITUTION:Electric current flows from anode electrodes 2 to cathode electrodes 3 and magnetic fluxes flow from an N-side magnetic pole 4 toward an S-side magnetic pole 5 and therefore the org. material which is the pulverous diamagnetic material having high electrical conductivity in fluid 9 is attracted toward a diamagnetic material outlet 13 side at the time when the fluid 9 passes between the electrodes 2 and 3. The inorg. material and ash which are the pulverous paramagnetic material are attracted to ferromagnetic wires 6 which are magnetized by N-side and S-side magnetic poles 7, 8 are curved and are formed to have a small diameter on the upper stream side and are formed to have a larger diameter on the down stream side. The inorg. material and ash are thus attracted by said wires 6 as a guide toward the side opposite from the org. material. Fluid 10 incorporated therein with the org. material so as to contain much org. material is directed toward an outlet 13 for the diamagnetic material. Fluid 11 incorporated therein with the inorg. material and ash to contain much inorg. material and ash is directed toward an outlet 14 for the paramagnetic material. The inorg. and org. materials are thus separated.
