<p>PURPOSE:To detect the position of a tape quickly at the rapid traverse or rewinding mode by locking an erasing head lever while a cassette is set in a cassette chamber and holding the erasing head in the forward state. CONSTITUTION:When the recording/reproduction operating mode is set, a pressing force is given to an erasing head lever 19 by the turning of a lever 22 via a plate spring 24, a main lever 15 and a plate spring 25, a recording/ reproduction head 16 and an erasing head 18 are forwarded to a prescribed position and contacted the tape face of the cassette 12. When the cassette 12 remains set in the cassette chamber 7 in this case, an eject lever 29 keeps the horizontal state, an erasing head lever 19 locks its locking claw 192 to a step 311b of the locking plate spring 31 and only the erasing head 18 is forwarded to a position in contact with the tape of the cassette 12. Thus, in connecting the erasing head 18 to a tape position detection signal detecting circuit electrically, the position detection signal of the tape subjected to rapid traverse or rewinding is detected via the erasing head 18.</p> |
