<p>PURPOSE:To make a diameter of working roll small by providing a sliding clutch join between an output shaft of a driving motor and a spindle coupling and by arranging a load detector for driving motor and controlling motor output. CONSTITUTION:Gears 146, 246 are combined to output shafts 124, 224 of driving motors 116, 216 respectively through friction clutches 144, 244. The gears 146, 246 drive working rolls 100, 200 through pinions 112, 212 and spindle couplings 110, 210. Further, gears 112, 212 are adjusted and tuned for rotation through gears 148, 248 and a friction clutch 250. An overload is controlled by detecting the output of the driving motor by a torque detector provided to a spindle 208. By this method, the overloads of the motors 116, 216 are controlled and the coupling is made smaller. Accordingly, the diameter of working roll is made small.</p> |
