PURPOSE:To enhance the turning performance of a vehicle, by disposing a clutch means by which the transmitting amount of torque may be adjusted to control the yaw rate of the vehicle, in a power transmission path, and by controlling the clutch means in accordance with the transmitting amount of torque which is computed in accordance with the result of judgment on a cornering condition. CONSTITUTION:A yaw rate computing means 49 computes a desired yaw rate during a vehicle running on a curve path, in accordance with a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor 29, a traveling speed detected by a speed sensor 41 and a previously set desired steering characteristic. Then a judgment means 51 compares an actual yaw rate detected by a yaw rate sensor 47 with the desired yaw rate, and if it is determined that both values does not coincides with each other, front and rear drive shaft torques detected by torque sensors 43, 45 are delivered to a torque computing means 53 which therefore computes a transmitting amount of torque in accordance with a yaw rate difference amount. Further, in accordance with the computed value, solenoids 15, 17 are controlled by means of a drive circuit 59 for an actuator 57 so that the engagement of clutch means 11, 13 are adjusted.
