PURPOSE:To optimize a clamp force to various discs with different specifications and to attain miniaturization and to simplify the structure by allowing a disc carrying mechanism to give a driving torque individually so as to attach and detach the 1st and 2nd depressing members provided to a clamp mechanism to the 1st and 2nd spindle motors. CONSTITUTION:The discoid 1st depressing member 63 and the 2nd depressing member 64 acting like disc-clamping are fitted freely turnably to each of the 1st and 2nd spindle motors 13, 19 in cooperation therewith at the lower face of holding members 61, 62. A roller 62b is provided to a side edge of the holding member 62, the shape of cam 45h and a cam hole 45a and the movement of a moving member 45 are decided properly in matching with the timing cam 45h formed on the upper end of the moving member 45 to set the timing of attaching and detaching of the 1st and 2nd depressing members 63, 64 from/to the 1st and 2nd spindle motors 13, 19 and they are attached/detached individually. Further, the movement of the 1st and 2nd depressing members 63, 64 and the holding members 61, 62 is executed by giving a torque by a disc carrying mechanism.
