PURPOSE:To provide polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) lining material excellent in durability by a method wherein a performed body is formed by pressing PTFE powder against the surface of bonding layer, which is formed on the surface of a perforated plate fixed onto a metal surface to be lined, and baked by heating and the gas developed during baking is removed outside through the perforated plate. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a bonding agent layer 5 is formed on the surface of a perforated plate 3, which nis spot-welded onto the inner wall surface of a metal tube. Secondly, a PTFE performed body is formed on the bonding layer 5 by pressing PTFE powder 9. Thirdly, an inner tube 8 and a permeable membrane 6 are removed from the interior of the metal tube 1. Finally, the resultant metal tube 1 is placed in an electric oven or the like so as to bake by heating at 360-380 deg.C in order to sinter the PTFE performed body. The decomposition gas developed during the baking is exhausted outside through a large number of holes of the perforated plate 3 and gaps from vent holes provided on the metal tube 1. Thus, the destruction of the lining material and the development of cracks are prevented and consequently a PTFE lining material excellent in durability is obtained. |
