WELDING EQUIPMENT FOR FITTING UPPER PART END PLUG OF NUCLEAR FUEL ROD

PURPOSE:To simplify and automate the mechanism by constituting of the first and second chuck parts, spring feeding part and welding torch supporting part. CONSTITUTION:The first chuck part 10 holds the fuel rod (h) of semi-completing state and is driven with rotating. The second chuck part 20 rejects a provisional end plug with drawing out of the fuel rod (h) of semi-completed state and fits with pressure to a fuel rod case (b) the upper part end plug (f) after receiving from an end plug magazine 50, also performs the positioning of the fuel rod. The spring feeding part 30 inserts a spring (e) into the case (b) after the chuck part 20 drew out the provisional end plug. The welding torch supporting part 40 performs the peripheral welding of the joining part (g) of the case (b) and upper part end plug (f) with rotating the fuel rod (h) to which the upper part end plug (f) is press-fitted.
