ANTIMONY PENTOXIDE SOL ELECTRIFIED IN POSITIVE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain an Sb2O5 sol dispersing excellently in the various liquids by covering the surface of the colloidal particles of the Sb2O5 sol with trivalent and/or tetravalent metal. CONSTITUTION:An Sb2O5 sol of 1-10pH contg. 5-60wt% Sb2O5 is mixed with one or more kinds of aq. solns. of a trivalent and/or tetravalent metallic basic salt so that the amount of the above-mentioned basic salt is regulated to 1-50wt% expressed in terms of the metallic oxide for Sb2O5. Thereby the Sb2O5 sol electrified in the positive is obtained. This sol is excellently dispersed in a cation type resin emulsion, a cationic aq. high polymer soln. or the inorganic and organic acids, an aq. soln. contg. the metallic salts of these acids or an organic amine salt and an organic solvent such as alcohol.
