PURPOSE:To excellently prevent a fall of optical output while holding the coolest part temperature within the proper range by forming one of a pair of the tube tip housing parts of a base in a size allowing loose fitting of the tube tip parts of a fluorescent lamp to be housed into said housing part while forming a through hole connected to a receptacle and opened to the rear side of the base. CONSTITUTION:A display element A, for example, is mounted on a display device B while having its projection part 2 on the front side for forming a display screen and cooled by a blast of a fan from the rear side of the display device B. Thereby, a wind flows into a receptacle 1 from a through hole 13 of one housing part 10 provided on a base 9 for cooling a fluorescent lamp 4 while being discharged from a ventilation hole 16. Since the through hole 13 is formed in the size allowing loose fitting of the tube tip 6 of the fluorescent lamp 4, a cooling wind directly hits the whole periphery of the one tube tip 6 for excellently cooling the tube tip 6. Thereby, the coolest part temperature of the tube tip 6 of the fluorescent lamp 4 is held within the most proper range thus making it possible to stably light and properly display. |
