PURPOSE:To reduce the process with piercing on the work side wall without performing the work turning-over by subjecting to piercing from the horizontal direction the work with U-shaped cross section shape at pressing time. CONSTITUTION:A cam driver 12 and cam slider 15a are separated in case of the upper die shoe 11 being at the upper part and the cam slider 15a is located close to the center by the resiliency of spring 17. With this state, the U-shaped sectional work 24 is inserted onto the base stand 23. A main pad 13 is then descended when the upper die shoe 11 is started to descend, stopping the work as the stopper with the hard materials 28, 29 being collided. With its further descent, the slant faces 12a, 12b come into contact with the flant faces 15c, 15d of cam sliders 15a, 15b and with sliding each other in reverse direction the work 24 is subjected to piercing by punch 19. Not only piercing but also bending is performed by providing bending part 33e on the end face of die block 33 as well as the bending part 15e on the end face of cam slider 15b.
