PURPOSE:To obtain multi picture elements easily at a low cost by constituting respectively an image pickup section with a transparent electrode, a photo conductive film and a fine electrode, and a scanning section with a fine elec trode, a photoconductive film and a transparent electrode, burying between electrodes with a light shield insulator and using a light beam for scanning. CONSTITUTION:The image pickup section 2 consists of the transparent electrode 6, the photoconductive film 7 and the fine electrode 8 from the side of a lens 1, the electrode 8 is used for light shield in common and the same number of the electrodes 8 is prepared as that of picture elements 9. The parts between the electrodes are buried by a light shield insulator 10 and the electrode 8 is in floating state electrically. The scanning section 3 consists of the said minute electrodes 8, the photoconductive film 11 having the same number of picture elements 9 as that of the electrodes 8, and the transparent electrode 12. The spot size for the scanning light beam 4 is made normally smaller than the diameter of the minute electrodes 8. The scanning means of the light beam 4 can be of mechanical or electrical means and the scanning pattern is applied according to the applied state.
