PURPOSE:To generate whirling airflow in a furnace to supply oxygen reasonably and improve combustion efficiency by a method wherein a multitude of air injection nozzles are provided so that the tip ends thereof are opened with a predetermined angle with respect to the center of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A multitude of air injection nozzles 8a are opened at the side surface of a cylindrical furnace body 2 and respective air injection nozzles 8a are provided with a predetermined angle with respect to the center of the furnace so that air in the furnace body 2 is whirled. When the air is sent through a ventilating pipe 7, the air is injected from the nozzles 8a into the furnace body 1. The injecting direction of the nozzles 8a are determined so as to be slanted with respect to the center of the furnace while the configuration of the furnace body 2 is cylindrical, therefore, the air is whirled energetically in the furnace body 2 and cool air will never be blown directly against the substance A to be incinerated. Sufficient oxygen is supplied into the furnace body 2, ascending airflow generated by combustion will never be bothered and ascends energetically under being whirled whereby the combustion efficiency may be improved.
