PURPOSE:To obtain a prepreg giving a composite material exhibiting high heat-resistance, by impregnating an epoxy resin solution composed of an epoxy compound, an imide group-containing aromatic polyamine of a specific formula and a non-amide organic solvent having a low boiling point in reinforcing fibers. CONSTITUTION:The objective prepreg is produced by impregnating reinforcing fibers with an epoxy resin solution composed of 3 components comprising (A) an epoxy resin having at least one epoxy group in the molecule, (B) an imide group-containing aromatic polyamine of formula (X is 4-valent aromatic group; two carboxyl groups are bonded to the adjacent carbon atoms of an aromatic ring; R1 and R2 are H, halogen or alkyl and at least one of them is alkyl; n>=1) and (C) a non-amide organic solvent having a boiling point of <=150 deg.C (preferably a solvent having a boiling point of <=100 deg.C such as acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, etc.).
