PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity at reproduction and to make it stable by adopting the constitution that a magnetic guide path connected to a magnetic circuit at the opposite side to an opposed face to a magnetic recording medium is provided in a gap between the 1st and 2nd magnetic layers and a conductor layer is arranged respectively between the guide path and the 1st, 2nd magnetic layers. CONSTITUTION:A signal magnetic field is generated at the operating gap (g) at the end of the 1st and 2nd magnetic layers 1, 2 by applying a signal current in the same direction to the 1st and 2nd conductor layers 5, 6 at recording to apply recording to the magnetic recording medium. The added magnetic flux generated by the power application to the conductor layers 5, 6 is fed to the magnetic path 6 by flowing a bias current to the 1st and 2nd conductor layers in opposite to each other at reproduction to provide a magnetic bias to a magneto-resistance effect magnetic sensing part 4. Thus, the recording/ reproduction is attained and since the magnetic flux passing through the 1st and 2nd magnetic layers 1, 2 goes to small the reduction in the sensitivity and instable sensitivity are made low. |
