PURPOSE:To eliminate the program correction carried out for each debug by designating a debug subject program freely and with an optional timing. CONSTITUTION:The start conditions of a program to be debugged are set to a maintenance panel 5 of a computer 3. Each program reads the set data in a process 7 within a subroutine for debug and at the same time the start conditions of own program are read. Then the data on the panel 5 are collated with the own program start conditions in a process 9. If the coincidence is obtained from said collation, a message is printed by a typewriter device main body 4a in a process 10. Thus the program is stopped in a key input waiting state, and various processes 11 are executed by the input data given from a keyboard 4b for device 4a.
