PURPOSE:To attain the easy control for execution of a basic program just through the change of a line number by discriminating the line number set at the head position to decide the necessity for execution of the BASIC program when the programs are executed after the application of a power supply. CONSTITUTION:The line number set at the head of a RAM area is discriminated immediately after application of a power supply. If the line number is equal to '1', a BASIC program is executed. While the key input is decided when the line number is not equal to '1'. At the same time, the normal calculation is executed through discrimination of calculation with an electronic calculator. When the result of discrimination shows 'NO' in the process of discrimination of calculation with the electronic calculator, an instruction 'RUN' is supplied to proceed to the execution step 3. Thus it is possible to operate effectively a program executing device exclusive for the BASIC program or as a normal computer in response to the purpose of application according to the result of discrimination of the head line number.
