NEW MATERIAL:A polyacetylene derivative shown by the formula. USE:An antimicrobial agent or agricultural chemical having no pollution or its derivative. PREPARATION:A group (callus) of culture cell of solanaceous higher plant capable of producing a compound shown by the formula as a second metabolite is cultivated in a medium to form the compound shown by the formula in the cell or the medium, it is filtered into the cell and the medium and each of them is extracted with an organic solvent. Then, the extracted solutions are concentrated and the compound shown by the formula is isolated by the use of ion exchange chromatography, adsorption chromatography, or molecular sieve chromatography. |
