<p>The preparation of an aqueous, homogeneous and stable detergent suspension which contains non-ionic surface- active agents is described. The suspension contains approximately 14 per cent by weight to 30 per cent by weight of a sodium polyphosphate, approximately 1 per cent by weight to 5 per cent by weight of an alkali metal hydroxide or alkali metal salt, a soluble anionic surface- active agent and a soluble non-ionic surface-active agent which is an alkoxylated alcohol having an HLB value from 4 to 9, where the sodium polyphosphate is present as insoluble particles which have an average diameter of approximately 10 microns, the anionic and non-ionic surface-active agents are present in a ratio by weight of approximately 6.7:1 to 1.35:1, and the total amount of surface-active agents is from 13 per cent by weight to 20 per cent by weight.</p> |
