PURPOSE:The titled coal gasifier in which char is recovered with a cyclone and a bag filter and transferred with a lock hopper system and a pressure-rising and lowering mechanism, thus having high-performance of char recovery and circulation system with high reliability. CONSTITUTION:The char-containing gas which is formed in the gasifier 1 is lowered its temperature with the heat exchanger 2 down to about 400 deg.C and char is collected in the cyclone 4 and the bag filter 5. The char comes down to the char bin 8 by its self-weight, then it is led through lock hopper 9, metering hopper 10 to feeder 12, then circulated through pipe 13 into the combustion part 14 of the gasifier 1 with air or an inert gas. The transportation of the char between the char bin 8 through the feeder 12 is ensured by utilizing the pressure difference of N2 gas.
