PURPOSE:To facilitate the subsequent processing by installing a controlling and oscillating device, which detects, processes and stores a measurement reference point and the position of a damaged part on the basis of the measurement reference point, on the flow detecting surface of a steel bar to be processed and constituting such that the detected points are transferred to a subsequent processor. CONSTITUTION:A flaw detector 3 detects a flaw with the aid of a probe coil, stores the detected result as the function of a net area A, and has a function carrying our making at a side position contacting the net area of m=1 on the front surface of the steel bar to be tested. Then the steel bar passing through the flaw detector 3 from right to left in figure passes through a damaged steel bar removing part 4. Then only the damaged bar is taken out on a conveyor 5 by an appropriate method, for instance, grasping and moving by a grasping device and an electromagnet. The conveyer 5 has a function serving as the storage 6 of the damaged bar, and the length of the storage is decided in accordance with the deflect ratio. Thus the subsequent processing can be facilitated. |
