<p>The invention relates to a method for economically obtaining xenon-krypton from the air in large-scale operation, in the course of which the air is introduced in a basic installation which comprises series circuits of air-separating units, and in each case two rectifying columns connected thereto in series. A liquid krypton- xenon gas mixture in a concentration of 1000 ppm is obtained from the lower part of the second rectifying column. The O2 gas collected in the upper parts of the first and second rectifying columns is fed back from there into the air-separating device. The invention is characterized in that for the purpose of further rectification and/or separation of the oxygen and the krypton-xenon gas mixture, the krypton-xenon-O2 gas mixture, whose concentration is approx. 5 ppm, is led from the lower part of the first rectifying column 1 into a common, second rectifying column IIa, IIb. From there, the krypton-xenon gas mixture at the lower part is led in the liquid state with a concentration of approx. 1000 ppm into a further cleaning installation, for the purpose of further cleaning and/or separation of oxygen. <IMAGE></p> |
