PURPOSE:To improve flexibility and resistance to heat and crazing without detriment to solderability, by applying an insulating paint contg. a caprolactone- modified epoxy resin and a blocked isocyanate compd. to a conductor and baking it. CONSTITUTION:A caprolactone-modified epoxy resin (A) synthesized from a bisphenol A diglycidyl ether type epoxy resin contg. active hydrogen and having an epoxy equivalent of 1,000-4,000 and epsilon-caprolactone is used as a polyol component. A blocked isocyanate compd. (B) contg. an isocyanurate ring-contg. isocyanate compd. is added thereto and the mixture is dissolved in an org. solvent to obtain an insulating paint. The titled polyurethane-insulated wire is obtd. by applying said paint directly or through other insulating film to a conductor and baking it. The blending ratio of the resin (A) to the compd. (B) is such that the reaction equivalent ratio of the OH group in the polyol component to the NCO group in the blocked isocyanate compd. is 1:0.7-2.0.
