A device for connecting connection pipes of plate-shaped heating elements of a floor heating system has a curved pipe piece, the ends of which in each case bear a welding sleeve. The pipe piece is provided in a component which in the region of its sleeves has groove or tongue guide sections which are brought into engagement with associated groove or tongue guide sections on the connection pipe of the plate-shaped heating element.
