摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the correcting coefficient with an easy operation, simply and correctly by calculating automatically the correcting coefficient from the detecting value detected by a shifting quantity sensor and the shifting distance quantity designated beforehand. CONSTITUTION:A position calculating means 1 calculates the present position of the vehicle based upon the output of a magnetic direction sensor 2 and a shifting quantity sensor 3. The sensor 3 outputs a distance detecting signal in accordance with the rotation of the wheel, and the signal is distance-corrected 1a and inputted into the means 1. When the distance correction is executed, a correcting coefficient calculating means 1b automatically calculates the ratio of the shifting distance by an actual travelling for the true shifting distance, namely, the correcting coefficient. A map data storing memory means 4, an input means 5, a map data calculating means 6, a displaying control means 7 and a displaying means 8 are provided, the operation procedure of the distance correction is displayed at the means 8, and therefore, the operation goes to be easy, and the correcting coefficient can be simply and correctly obtained.
