PURPOSE:To increase high rate discharge performance at room temperature and low temperature by forming a graphite layer on the surface of manganese dioxide particle, then using as positive active material. CONSTITUTION:For example, manganese dioxide is positively charged and graphite is negatively charged, then graphite particles are sprayed on the surface of manganese dioxide particles to make them electrostatically adsorb to the manganese dioxide particles, or the surface of manganese dioxide particles is covered with graphite particles to make them phesically adsorb. By this process, a graphite layer 1b is formed on the surface of manganese dioxide particles, and this material is used as positive active material. Thereby, conductivity of a positive electrode 1 is increased, internal resistance of a battery is decreased, and utility of the positive electrode is increased. Therefore, high rate performance at room temperature and low temperature of the battery is improved. |
