PURPOSE:To form good electrodeposition plating layers on a steel strip by fluidizing a plating bath at a specific speed along the steel strip between anodes in the stage of passing the steel strip between the anodes which are disposed to face each other in the molten salt plating bath. CONSTITUTION:The steel strip 1 subjected to the pretreatment is introduced from a cell sealing part 2 into a cell 3 where the strip is conducted downward by a conductor roll 4 and is then directed upward. The strip 1 passes between the anodes 7, 7' and 8, 8' disposed to face each other in the molten salt plating bath. Nozzles 9, 9', 10, 10', 11, 11', 12, 12' for injecting the molten plating bath 6 which sandwich the passing surface of the strip 1 and are inclined with respect to the anode plane are provided above and below the anodes 7, 7', 8, 8' to fluidize forcibly the bath 6 along the strip 1. The flowing speed of the bath 6 is made >=0.5m/S, more preferably 2-3m/S. The good electrodeposition plating layers are thus obtd. even if the current density for plating is large.
