PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength and to lessen the deterioration in magnetic characteristics by external strain by using a magnetic alloy consisting of at least three elements; an element having >=1.4 Angstrom atomic radius, Ni and Fe as a high-permeability layer. CONSTITUTION:The high-permeability layer is the magnetic alloy consisting of at least three elements; the element having >=1.4 Angstrom atomic radius, Ni and Fe. The element having >=1.4 Angstrom atomic radius is, for example, Mg, Al, Se, Ti, Zr, Nb, Ag, In, Sn, Hf, Ta, Au, rare earth elements (including Y, La), etc. and can be optionally selected therefrom. The amt. of the element having >=1.4 Angstrom atomic radius to be added needs to be determined by the magnitude of the strength required for the high-permeability layer. The higher strength is obtd. with the smaller amt. of addition as the atomic radius is larger. The amt. of addition preferable in terms of the magnetic characteristics and strength is 1-20wt%. The content of Ni is preferably in a 35-90wt% range and the excellent high-permeability layer having low coercive force is obtd. in a 75-85wt% range.
