PURPOSE:To make a heat radiating surface wider and enable to cut off the timeworn portion of a combustion wick by a structure wherein a broad sheet- like wick, which is housed in a slender wick containment under the state being wound in a roll and wetted with kerosine, is made possible to getting in and out with a wick winding bar or a wick lifting and lowering rod. CONSTITUTION:A burner 1 is a detachable flat plate-like box, which is made of thin metallic or catalytic ceramic sheet and has a large number of small holes. The lifting and lowering of a wick 3 is done by turning a milled rod 5. Even when the wick is completely wound to a winding bar 4 so far down beyond the rod 5 part, the wick can be lifted to the rod part 5 by turning the bar in reverse and, by turning the rod at the time, the wick can be bitten by the rod 5, resulting in enabling to lift and lower the wick by the rod. By cutting off the timeworn portion of the wick a pair of scissors under the state that the burner is removed and the wick is lifted a little farther, the new portion of the wick abundantly wound in a roll can be put into use successively.
