PURPOSE:To provide the titled high-molecular material which deodorizes water-(in)soluble malodor substances simultaneously and has an excellent persistent deodorizing effect, by coordinately bonding a metal phthalocyanine to a high-molecular material. CONSTITUTION:0.5-20wt%, pref. 1.0-10wt% metal phthalocyanine of the formula [wherein Me is a transition metal such as Fe, Co, Mn, Ti and V; X is H, (substd.) alkyl, halogen, NO2, OH, alkoxyl alkylsilicon, etc.] is coordinately bonded to a natural or synthetic high-molecular material (e.g. protein fiber) wherein the atom in its main chain and/or its side chain has a lone pair, thus obtaining the desired high-molecular material. The material can impart a deodorizing performance to articles such as clothing, bedding, carpet and film for an air cleaner and a sewage treating device by selecting a molding method.
