摘要 PURPOSE:To make calibration of an image pickup device without constraint on the image pickup direction while also making easy and reliable calibration possible by finding the ratio of the scanning interval in the vertical direction to the horizontal scanning interval of the image pickup device. CONSTITUTION:The image pickup device 100 picks up a cube 110 of an orthogonal polyhedron to display the image as an image 300 on an output screen of a display means 120. A control means 190 actuates a position designating means 130 to display an arrow mark on the output screen while writing coordinate values of four points of the image 300 in a position storing means 140. Then the control means actuates a directional vector generating means 150, computes three directional vectors from the coordinate values of the four points and writes them in a memory means 160. An actuated arithmetic means 170 finds from the directional vector components the ratio of the vertical scanning interval to the horizontal scanning interval of the device 100 and outputs it into a printer to inform the user of the results.
