Water softeners having ion exchange compositions must be continuously monitored for their exhaustion status. For this purpose, the arrangement of sensors in the inlet and the outlet of the ion exchanger vessel is proposed, which sensors are sensitive to the regenerant. Electric conductivity meters are also used as sensors which influence a programmed control via electronic data evaluation equipment. |
