PURPOSE:To enable the titled cell fusion surely, without using a particular separation operation, using only the desired cell as a cell to be fused, by sucking the desired cell from the suspension of cells into a specific injection needle and carrying out the electrical fusion of the cell. CONSTITUTION:The desired cell is suspended in a specific solution, put into a cell container 26, and placed on the stage 25 of a microscope 21. The micromanipulator 27 is operated to immerse the tip of the micro-operation needle 28 having an inner diameter of 30-50mum and furnished with electrodes 29, 30 into the cell dispersion in the cell container 26, and a desired number of desired cells are sucked into the micro-operation needle 28. The electrodes are connected selectively to a function generator 32 and the pulse generator 33 with the switch 31 to impose a required voltage (e.g. 10V, 500kHz) between the electrodes 29, 30 to form an electric field. The sucked sells are fused together under the influence of the electric field. |
