PURPOSE:To synthesize, a character, a graphic and an image data and to work and output them economically and easily by treating a character pattern, a graphic pattern and an image data integrally. CONSTITUTION:According to a command from a host CPU, a main processor 1 defines a page memory 9. By the command from a host CPU (including a control code, a parameter, and a data), a character code, a graphic code, and an image data are developed in the page memory 9 in the form of a bit image. This development and control of the image to the page memory 9 is performed by selectively emitting an operation instruction to a character pattern producing section 4, a graphic pattern producing section 5, an image data extending circuit 6, and an ICC 8 or the like by the main processor 1. After the data on the page memory 9 is calculated and processed, according to the command from the host CPU, the image data on the page memory 9 is read and transferred to a host system with a designated image density.
