PURPOSE:To prevent the fracture of a mesh belt in a brazing furnace by coating a coating material contg. a specific ratio each of SiO2, TiO2, Al, F and P on the surface of the mesh belt then calcining the coating to form a ceramic film. CONSTITUTION:The coating material prepd. by mixing 65-80wt% SiO2, 10-20% TiO2, 3-8% Al, 1-5% F and 0.01-1.0% P as essential materials with a solvent such as water is coated on the surface of the stainless steel mesh belt for brazing and the belt is held for 30min-2hr at >=900 deg.C in a reducing atmosphere and thereafter the belt is cooled. The ceramic film having the excellent resistance to acids, wear, heat, etc., is thereby formed on the surface of the mesh belt. The ceramic-coated mesh belt obtd. in the above-mentioned manner is prevented from receiving corrosion by a treating liquid of a phosphoric acid and is thereby prevented from fracture and the exchange cycle thereof is considerably extended when used in the brazing furnace.
