PURPOSE:To provide the titled device which forms a plating layer having a uniform thickness and uniform quality by the constitution in which a meltable metallic ingot is packed into a rotatable anode case and that a plating liquid is ejected from a hollow shaft provided therein and bored with many holes on the peripheral wall. CONSTITUTION:The end to be plated of the steel pipe 21 is inserted into the open end of the cylindrical device case 1 of the anode device and the space to be filled with the plating liquid is delineated by seals 22, 23. A revolving shaft 3 rotated by a motor 9, pulleys 8, 10, belt 11, etc., is mounted via a bearing case 2 to the end wall 1a of the case 1 and an anode assembly 12 to be fixed to the shaft 3 via a bracket 13 is extended in the case 1. The assembly 12 is constituted of the hollow shaft 15 bored with the many holes on the peripheral wall, the insoluble lath-like anode case 14 disposed on the peripheral surface thereof and the meltable metallic ingot 16, of Ni, etc., packed thereon. The plating of the pipe 21 end is executed by supplying the plating liquid from a plating cell 7 to the inside of the above-mentioned shaft 3 and hollow shaft 15 through a pipe 5 and a rotary joint 4 by a pump 6.
