PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption by maintaining lock-up state without releasing it when gentle acceleration is judged by the throttle opening-degree signals. CONSTITUTION:When a throttle is stepped-in in lock-up operation, a throttle opening-degree sensor 12 detects the opening degree, and the variation speed is calculated in a variation-speed detecting part 19. When a comparison part 20 judges that the variation speed is larger than a standard value 21, lock-up is released, and a car is sharply accelerated. When it is judged that the variation speed is smaller than a standard value, lock-up state is maintained by the output of a lock-up holding part 23, and fuel consumption can be improved, and a car can be gently accelerated. |
