PURPOSE:To provide an external agent for skin, having synergistically improved skin-beautifying effect and high safety and effective remarkably to stains, freckles, dark skin, etc., by using extract of placenta and a hydroquinone glycoside as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective external agent for skin contains (A) 0.001-5wt% extract of placenta (in terms of dried solid) and (B) 6-20wt% hydroquinone glycoside of formula (R is pentose residue, hexose residue, amino sugar residue, uronic acid residue or their methylated products). It has remarkably improved skin-beautifying effect and high safety and is used in various forms such as skin lotion, milky lotion, cream, ointment, etc. The extract of placenta is e.g. dried powder, carbonized product, hydrolyzed product, hot extract or extracted liquid of animal placenta or human placenta. |
