A lifeboat has seating accommodation extending along both sides, and along the centre, of the boat, the seats 11, 12, 13, 14 in at least some of said accommodation being arranged in terraced or multi-tiered formation and there being seats for not less than seven fore-and-aft extending rows or files of persons. Hinged or portable deck boards or panels 15 on the centre seat 14 can be made to form a deck for the accommodation of recumbent passengers. Transverse seats 16 are provided for the operators of the pulling levers 17 of a hand propelling gear for driving a screw propeller. |
