PURPOSE:A tooth decay preventing that contains embelin as an active ingredient, thus showing high and stabilized effect of preventing tooth decay and periodental diseases by inhibiting the formation of tooth scale and acid production. CONSTITUTION:Enasal in Embelia ribes is crushed in a mortar and extracted with a lower alcohol such as methanol or ethanol or aqueous lower alcohol and the collected embelin is added to a tooth decay preventive composition. Rapanan or vilangin, which has physilogical activity like embelin may also be added.
