In a motor-adjustable vehicle seat, longitudinally displaceable mounting rails (6, 7) which are connected to one another are provided in parallel guide rails (2, 3), two adjustment spindles (20, 21) whose adjustment nuts (22, 23) are permanently connected via nut holders (24, 25) to the guide rails (2, 3) are arranged parallel to the said rails (2, 3 and 6, 7). The adjustment spindles (20, 21) can be rotated by means of a motor (11) which is coupled via drive shafts (18, 19) to angular drives (14, 15) which, themselves, are in engagement with the adjustment spindles (20, 21). As a result of production errors or as a result of displacement or distortion during installation of the adjustable seat carrier or as a result of wear, an offset (a, b) of the contact or stop faces (53, 54 and 55, 56) may occur at the adjustment nuts (22, 23) or the housings of the angular drives (14, 15). In order to compensate this offset (a, b), elastically deformable stop elements (51, 52), for example hollow cylindrical rubber components, are provided between the contact or stop faces (53, 54 and 55, 56), which rubber components engage around the adjustment spindles (20, 21) and are partially compressed when the seat is retracted into its one limit position and, in this process, compensate the offset (a, b). Likewise, there are elastically deformable stop elements (60) at the free ends of the two adjustment spindles (20, 21), which stop elements (60) are supported on the spindle heads (59) and ...
