PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having improved mechanical properties and excellent heat-resistance and impact-resistance, and moldable by various molding methods, by compounding a polyarylene sulfide with a thermoplastic polyester resin and a carboxyl-containing olefin copolymer. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyarylene sulfide having a melt flow rate of 10-10,000g/10min (preferably a polyphenylene sulfide containing >=70mol% -C6H4S- unit) is compounded with (B) a thermoplastic polyester resin having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3-1.5dl/g (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) at a ratio (A/B) of 99/1-1/99, preferably 90/10-10/90 and the mixture is further compounded with (C) 1-100pts.wt., preferably 5-50pts. of a carboxyl-containing olefin copolymer based on 100pts. of A+B. |
