PURPOSE:To restrain a carriage from being moved in two directions orthogonal to the moving direction of the carriage and from being rotated around in the moving direction by engaging the first and the second bearing means with a guide rail. CONSTITUTION:A carriage assembly is moved along a guide rail 13 in the directions of an arrow A1 or A2; and in this case, since the first and the second bearing means 14 and 15 are arranged to clip the guide rail 13, the pitching motion (rotation in the direction of an arrow C) with the direction, which is orthogonal to the moving direction of a carriage 6 and passes the side face of the carriage 6, as the axis and the yawing motion (rotation in the direction of an arrow D) with the direction, which is orthogonal to the moving direction and is parallel with the side face of the carriage 6, as the axis are suppressed surely. The rolling motion (rotation in the direction of an arrow B) with the moving direction of the carriage 6 as the axis is suppressed because the second bearing means is so arranged that the moment of rotation which acts in a direction to resist this rolling motion is generated.
