PURPOSE:To measure a driving angle of a ball with extremely high accuracy by detecting a drop of a level of a photodetected signal at the time when the driven golf ball crosses the scanning space of laser beams and performing the prescribed arithmetic for said drop of level. CONSTITUTION:The laser beams are photodetected by an optical fiber 50 and scanned to 3kHz by a scanner 2 and the scanning space 71 is formed. When the driven ball crosses this space 71, the level of the photodetected signal (a) drops. Then, a signal at the time when the ball starts and ends to shield the light,a signal of a scanning end and a clock pulse are sent to a control circuit 6. The clock signal is calculated with a counter 62 by the control signal (j) and inputted to an arithmetic circuit 64 as a time signal (g) and since the number of these pulses is changed by the driven angle, the height (H) is calculated on the basis of a prescribed calculating formula and the angle is calculated from the horizontal distance (L). Accordingly, the driven angle is measured with high accuracy.
