Heat-developable light-sensitive material

A heat-developable light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion and an acid precursor having a structural moiety represented by the following formula (I) bonded to carbon atoms: (I) The acid precursor is extremely stable at room temperature but when it is heated above a certain temperature, and the development proceeds to the desired appropriate condition, it releases an acid to neutralize a base, whereby the development is stopped. A heat-developable light-sensitive material containing the acid precursor provides color images having a high S/N ratio and a high image density.
