PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of operation by providing the 1st stage for measuring the quantity of state of the rotating shaft of a rotating machine before balancing, and the 2nd stage for measuring the quantity of state of the shaft when the balancing conditions of the rotating body are changed. CONSTITUTION:This balancing method has five stages. In stageI, the shaft oscillation of synchronism of rotation before balancing is measured. In stage II, when balancing operation is necessary as a result of the stageI, a rotor is placed under known unbalanced conditions and the shaft oscillation of synchronism of rotation is measured similarly. In stage III, dynamic characteristics of a bearing are found on the basis of said shaft oscillation and in stage IV, a coefficient of influence is found from the obtained dynamic characteristics. In stage V, an adequate balancing weight is determined by the coefficient of influence. This invented technique decreases an actual operation frequency to improve the efficiency of the balancing operation as compared with a conventional method of finding a coefficient of influence by actual measurement. |
