A rotor drop former is described for forming granules from flowable compositions which are fed axially to an inner fixed container and then emerge radially through orifices which are provided both at the inner container and at an outer container rotating thereon, distributed over the circumference thereof. The drops thus formed drop onto a belt running past below and can solidify there. Between the rotating outer container and the inner infeed orifices, a mobile nozzle bar is interposed which bears on the rotating container with elastic sealing strips. The abrasion between the nozzle bar and the rotating container can thus be kept low. The nozzle strip can also be made from any material, including those resistant to aggressive media, so that the rotor drop former described can also be used for producing droplets from media where this had not been possible hitherto. <IMAGE> |
