PURPOSE:To aim at miniaturization in a shifting operation device, by operating a single transmission mechanism with rocking operation of only one direction of vertical directions of a gearshift, and constituting a shifting mechanism so as to make it operatable at plural shifting positions. CONSTITUTION:A change arm 3 is pivotally supported on a transmission case 1 rockably by a horizontal shaft 2, and an uprighting part 5a of an operating lever 5 is inserted into a lever support 4 unitized with the arm 3 free of rotation and movement. And, with vertical rocking motion of the change arm 3, an operating arm 11 and a shift arm 12 both are turned round centering on an operating shaft 10, constituted into a transmission mechanism C which moves a shifter block 15 in both directions. In addition, with movements of the shifter block 15 in both directions, shift motion is carried out with a shift gear whereby a shifting mechanism H is selected to each shifting position. At this time, an arm 15a of the shifter block 15 is engaged with the shift gear, thus a shifting operation member M is formed.
