PURPOSE:To attain the sound record editing with a reduced level of distortion by providing a sound record input attenuation circuit to the input of a sound record amplifier and actuating this attenuation circuit only when a recorded tape is converted into the state set before transmission through a noise reduction circuit by means of this reduction circuit. CONSTITUTION:The 1st editing command switch 2 is connected to the 1st input when a tape is converted into the state set before the tape is transmitted through a noise reduction circuit 5. The output given from a head of the 1st mechanism is amplified and applied to the circuit 5. The positive voltage is applied to the circuit 5 via the 2nd editing command switch 7 and expanded. This expanded voltage is applied to a sound record input attenuation circuit 10. The positive voltage given from the switch 7 is applied to the base of a transistor 15 through a resistance 14 and therefore the circuit 10 is turned on. Thus a resistance 13 is short-circuited. Then the signal applied to the circuit 10 is attenuated by resistances 11 and 12 and applied to a sound record amplifier 16 and then to a head of the 2nd mechanism 17. Thus an editing action is performed.
